David piggott

Professional Musician David Piggott casts a large shadow across the Texas Music Scene and the Bass Guitar World in general. Whether he's teaching the future generation of musicians by day, or driving out melodic bass lines with artist Monte Montgomery by night, the tool he reaches for is the Muckelroy HMC. Isn't it time you discovered what musicians like David already know? Piggott was born and raised in the small town of Port Arthur, Texas. David began his musical journey at the age of 12. Having been raised around musicians his whole life, it was very clear that this would be his path. He has been the bassist for Monte Montgomery for over 12 years. Standing toe to toe with one of the greatest guitar players of all time, and doing much more than holding his own, anyone who has seen him perform live knows that David is emerging as one of the world’s premiere bass players. With an ear for melody, chops to spare, enthusiastic energy & considerable skills--The Bass World is definitely taking notice. In addition, David is a very busy studio musician, doubles on acoustic guitar & is the owner/operator of Piggot Music. (Bio credit in-part: Genzler Amplification endorsed by David. He is also an endorsing artist for Curt Mangan String Company, MXR Pedals, Quantum Cables & Nordstrand Pick-Ups).

martell padgett

The Basskamikaze (Martell Padgett)  was born on December 8, 1984 in Meridian, Mississisppi. At the age of three, his relocated with his parents and 4 sibling to his father’s hometown of Johnston, South Carolina where Martell grew up in a church organization called The Pentecostal Church of God. This is the place he often heard his Dad play music and preach sermons. It was also here that Martell developed a hunger for music.  At the age of six, David Padgett sat down with his son Martell and showed him a few notes on the Bass Guitar; not his Fathers primary instrument, therefore Martell musical growth on the bass was largely on his own. He begin to develop an “ear” and could play anything he saw and heard. Progressing forward, Martell’s family moved back to the small town of Buckatunna, Mississippi. Here he begin to make musical acquaintances and play with gospel artist such as, Rance Allen, Beverly Crawford & JJ Harriston. He was also a guest on the Dorinda Clark Cole show in 2010. Since then he has released an instrumental solo bass album entitled “A Higher Calling”. Additionally, he is serving at The Pentecostal Church Of God, a member of 3 bands (Fade2Blue, Aakeela & The Beats) and a freelance studio sessions bassist for artists in need. (Bio credit in-part: Nordstrand Audio, endorsed by Martell. He is also an endorsing artist for Curt Mangan String Company).

NICK J. LEWIS

Born and raised in Southern Louisiana, Nick J. Lewis was influenced early on in life by his father - a dynamic musician in his own rite. "I grew up listening to my dad's old LPs and 45s, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Sly and the Family Stone, Fats Domino, Tower Of Power, Stax, Motown, etc." Nick revealed his musical talent at the age of nine playing trumpet and bass throughout grade school and high school. Later, he continued his musical development by working with Baton Rouge and New Orleans Blues and Jazz artists including Henry Gray, Troy Turner, Michael Ward, Kenny Neal, and Herman Jackson, to name a few. In 2001, Nick moved to Austin, Texas to perform with a number of elite live music bands. Now after thirty years of sharpening his skills, Nick has over 30 albums to his credit with artists ranging from rap to country. He has toured nationally and internationally with top-notch, high profile artists such as Sister Sledge, Wayne Toups, and Terrance Simien. Personally, Nick is easy-going, versatile, highly committed to his work, and committed to broadening his scope in the music world. Professionally, the power-packed energy, passion, and intensity of Nick's funky bass grooves leave no doubt that Nick is truly an artist who is "at one with his bass."
